Over seven decades of community commitment — education, healthcare, culture, and empowerment
For the Jindal family, business success has always been inseparable from social responsibility. Rooted in the spiritual and cultural heartland of Varanasi, SPNG Group recognises that its growth is only meaningful if it uplifts the communities it operates within.
From funding schools and medical camps to restoring ancient temples and supporting farmers, our CSR activities reflect a deeply personal commitment — not just a compliance obligation. Every initiative is personally overseen and championed by the Jindal family.
"Wealth is not truly earned until it flows back to those who need it most." — Shri Yogesh Kumar Jindal, Chairman
Our CSR initiatives focus on four interconnected pillars that together create lasting community change.
SPNG Group sponsors school infrastructure, scholarships, and vocational training programmes for underprivileged youth in Varanasi and surrounding districts. We believe education is the most powerful lever for generational change.
Regular free medical camps, eye check-ups, blood donation drives, and medicine distribution serve thousands of patients annually in villages and urban slums around Varanasi.
Rooted in Varanasi's spiritual identity, SPNG actively participates in the restoration, maintenance, and beautification of ancient temples and cultural sites — preserving India's irreplaceable heritage for future generations.
From supporting self-help groups (SHGs) for women to providing drinking water infrastructure in villages, SPNG Group invests in the basic dignity and empowerment of every community it touches.
A glimpse of our community impact from the past year.
A 2-day free medical camp organised in Mirzapur district attended by 800+ patients. Services included general check-ups, diabetes screening, orthopaedic consultations, and free medicine distribution. Local government doctors volunteered alongside our team.
Employees, their families, and local school children participated in SPNG's annual tree plantation drive — planting 2,000 saplings of Neem, Peepal, and fruit-bearing trees across factory perimeters, school grounds, and road medians in Varanasi.
At our annual scholarship ceremony, 150 meritorious students from economically weaker sections received scholarships for classes 6–12. The event was graced by the District Magistrate and local education officers who commended SPNG's long-standing commitment to education.
SPNG organised a blood donation camp at our Indostar steel plant premises in partnership with IMS-BHU blood bank. Over 200 units of blood were collected from employee volunteers — stocking the bank ahead of the critical summer shortage period.
