Building a greener tomorrow — our commitment to the environment, people, and future generations
Sustainability is not an afterthought at SPNG Group — it is embedded in our manufacturing philosophy, product design, and community engagement. From recycling millions of PET bottles into fibre to producing green steel with dramatically lower emissions, we measure our success not just in revenue, but in our contribution to a cleaner planet.
Our three business verticals — Steel, Textile, and Horticulture — each carry a distinct sustainability mandate that collectively drives measurable positive impact across emissions, water, waste, and biodiversity.
Each division contributes meaningfully to our group-wide environmental targets.
KVTM converts 15,000+ MT of post-consumer PET waste into RPSF annually, diverting 42M+ bottles from landfills and oceans. Our recycled fibre uses 84% less energy and generates 71% fewer GHG emissions than virgin polyester production.
Indostar produces steel from recycled scrap via Electric Arc Furnace — cutting CO₂ by 58%, saving 642 kWh per tonne and preserving 1,100 kg of iron ore. Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) water treatment ensures no wastewater enters local bodies.
Jindal Farms practices crop rotation, drip irrigation, organic composting, and biogas generation from cow dung. Solar-powered farm infrastructure and IPM reduce chemical inputs while maintaining high yields.
Our Indostar steel plant operates with a closed-loop water treatment system achieving Zero Liquid Discharge. 100% of process water is treated, recycled, and reused — ensuring zero wastewater discharge into surrounding water bodies or soil.
SPNG Group is progressively installing rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems across factory complexes and farm infrastructure. The transition to renewable energy reduces our dependence on grid power and lowers our Scope 2 emissions.
In partnership with rag-pickers, NGOs, and municipalities, we have established structured PET collection corridors across UP and neighbouring states. This creates livelihoods while ensuring steady supply of post-consumer plastic for our RPSF plant.
Under our annual green drive, SPNG plants 5,000+ trees every year in and around our industrial areas, on government land, and in local schools and villages. Species selected for air purification, shade, and biodiversity support.
Our Electric Arc Furnace uses advanced electrode control systems, scrap preheating technology, and real-time power factor correction to minimise specific energy consumption — achieving 642 kWh/tonne savings versus traditional blast furnace routes.
Kashi Vishwanath Textile Mill maintains Global Recycled Standard (GRS) chain-of-custody certification, providing transparent traceability from PET waste input to finished RPSF — enabling our customers to make verified sustainability claims on their products.
Our sustainability initiatives directly contribute to 6 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
